Filmmaker and photographer Kyotaro Hayashi began his career at DRAWING AND MANUAL after graduating from Tama Art University. He is the recipient of multiple domestic and international honors, including the Venice Biennale Special Award and the iF DESIGN AWARD Gold, and currently teaches as a part-time lecturer at Tama Art University.

Through years of accumulated work, Hayashi has established a distinct presence within the music video landscape. Known for his cinematic textures and refined sense of atmosphere, he creates visually emotive work grounded in subtlety and precision. Defined by minimal settings and restrained color palettes, his style is both understated and highly refined.
